Chief Minister Message

“The security of life and property of citizens is one of the primary responsibilities of the state. Without this fundamental protection, investment and economic growth is not possible. We are committed to providing an accountable and efficient government that ensures the protection of life and property of its citizens so as to create an environment that encourages the private sector to grow and flourish. Today, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is confronted with grave challenges of security and law & order for various diverse reasons. This is the Province which has borne the major brunt of the war on terror. Today, its people look up to the leadership of PTI led Government for peace and security. Needless to say, we are fully cognizant of our duties. We understand that establishing the rule of law and providing security and sense of security is extremely important for the social development and economic prosperity of our citizens, especially the poor and underprivileged masses. The PTI Government is working hard to transform the police system, which has massively suffered due to political considerations, by introducing new laws as well as modernizing Police and upgrading police stations to become user friendly centers for help to needy citizens. We are also committed to improve the conditions in our Jails to make them function as Correction Centers rather than hatcheries of criminals. We are also cognizant of the fact that a strong Prosecution Service is vitally important for successful prosecution of cases. Home Department has a very important role in strengthening rule of law and transforming the institutions of criminal justice into modern, well equipped, well trained and responsive bodies – sensitive to the public needs and ready to respond to the challenges. I am extremely pleased to see the achievements of Home Department in such a short span of time and I assure the Secretary, Home Department of my fullest support in this regard.”
